MY WORDS - That Will Reach You When You Need Them

Here are stuff that I learned, realized or just plain knew. I hope these words help you guys...    Dad

1. Never Fear Failure to the point of not making a move at all.

2. When doing something "adventurous", its always better to think and re-think as many times you think you need. Everything that we do we'll always have to carry with us into our futures, whether heavy or light.

3. When in doubt, ASK. Do not be afraid to ask me anything. I am here for you guys. Ask all you want. That's one of my main purposes in life, to guide you... You may not have to take a risk in making a mistake. Likely, one of us, your elders have gone through the crossroads you're at right now. ASK so you can learn from our experiences.

4. Never be the lone lady with a group of guys, whether you think they're your friends or not. You may regret it. Guys change when they are in a pack, especially when drunk. If you even have the slightest apprehension, don't go. Ask your girl-friend not to go too, she may get in trouble too... Be careful. Always, girls.

5. Always control your emotions and reactions as much as possible. "Our true selves are shown by how we initially react" - Jim Rohn. Those words are so true. You may use this to glean more of what kinds of people there are. Especially those often near you. This is important if you want to function well in this world.

6. Do not be the loud one in the group. Be don't be the wallflower either. They'll be surprised when you show them that you can really "shine".

7. Pick the right "suit" for the occasion. Always start humbly. Feeling your way from there. Don't test the boundaries of the group you're with at the present. The "suit" may mean dress, attitude, or demeanor, or all of them. Always carry yourself well. Better to be called a "nerd" than to be branded as a "low-class slut", something you will not want to carry into your long adult life.

8. Learn Conflict Resolution as early as you can.

9. Use the Internet, not only for entertainment, but also for self-improvement. Strive to always improve on your different aspects of being, physical, mental, financial, wisdom, whatever. The internet has been an indispensable tool in my journey. I'm so glad I had been able to have it in my lifetime. It is such a treasure-trove of info on just about anything... Just be careful, there are also a lot dis-information in the net. Practice discernment. When you're older, you should have cultivated your intuition to know the truth from half-truths and lies... But again, when in doubt, ask.

10.
